The SEFI 2008 Annual conference will be hosted by Aalborg University and take place in Aalborg Congress & Culture Centre. Hotels and city centre within walking distance.
Pre-conference activities will take place at Aalborg University Campus in Aalborg.

Official Language The official language in Denmark is Danish. However, many of the population speak and understand English. The official conference language is English.
Insurance and Vaccinations The conference fee does not cover insurance for delegates. The organizers strongly recommend that delegates take insurance in their own country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and all necessary insurance against customary risks, particularly accident, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings, during the visit. No vaccinations are needed in Denmark.
Passports, Visas Delegates are advised to contact the nearest Danish embassy or consulate or travel agency to find out the passport and visa requirements for entry into Denmark.

Currency
In September 2000 the Danes voted not to join the other European Union members in the Euro, and the currency is therefore still the Danish Krone (DKK), which is subdivided into 100 øre. 100 DKK corresponds per 20.06.2007 to 18 USD and 13.43 EUR. Visa, Eurocard, Diners Club, American Express and MasterCard are widely accepted credit cards.
Climate and clothing It is summer in Denmark and Aalborg July and the weather can vary from chilly to warm with temperatures from 12 to 25°C. Warning for occasional showers. The daylight is very long and could be 15-19 hours. The organizers suggest that you bring a jacket or pullover and an umbrella or raincoat.
