Aalborg Airport (AAL), the main gateway to North Denmark, is conveniently situated just a short 35 minute flight from Copenhagen. The airport is situated only 5 km from downtown Aalborg and buses or taxis are waiting round the clock to take you to your hotel.
Copenhagen Airport is the main air traffic hub of Northern Europe, and is served by some 60 international airlines flying non-stop from 120 cities around the world. Adding to this that Aalborg is linked with Copenhagen by more than 25 daily flights you will find that it is truly very easy to reach Aalborg by air.
Billund Airport lies in the heart of West Denmark and is the country's second largest international air traffic hub, with diret services to almost all major European cities. The distance from Billund to Aalborg is some 200 km.
Taxis and the No. 2 town bus commute between the airport and city centre.
From the airport to the centre of Aalborg will cost about 100 DKK by taxi and 16 DKK by bus.
By Train
The train stops in the centre of Aalborg. Trains arrive from Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark each hour.

By Ferry
DFDS offers a connection from Harwich in England to Esbjerg (215 km from Aalborg).
Stena Line and Color Line offer several connections from Sweden and Norway to Hirtshals (70 km from Aalborg), Frederikshavn (65 km from Aalborg) or Grenå (115 km from Aalborg).
Master Ferries offer a connection from Kristiansand in Norway to Hanstholm (95 km from Aalborg).
By Bus
A cheap way to travel inside Denmark is by bus. Abildskou has connections between Copenhagen and Aalborg, and X-Bus (in Danish) has connections between the main cities in Jutland.
By Car
Aalborg has directly motorway connections to Copenhagen and Germany. Queues seldom arise and the speed limit is 130 km/hour. Several car rental companies are located in Aalborg and other main cities in Denmark, e.g. AVIS, Europcar and Hertz.

All taxis are licensed by the city council, which also determines the rates (tip is included in the prices). By Bus
The city buses are a popular way to travel around Aalborg due to the low price, and many departures (often every 5 minutes).
